Ryan LaMarre is hitting .333 since joining the Chicago White Sox, but was unable to deliver some pinch hit magic in the 9th inning of Chicago’s 7-3 loss to the Yankees last night.
With a runner on second and two out, LaMarre pinch hit for light-hitting Adam Engel. He would hit a 1-1 pitch hard, but right at left fielder Brett Gardner to end the game.
LaMarre is 4 for 12 since joining the big club on August 6. He was claimed by Chicago on July 9 after being designated for assignment by the Minnesota Twins. In 47 total games this year, LaMarre is hitting .270 with no home runs and 9 RBI. His balls in play average is .400 with an exit velocity of 88mph and a launch angle average of 12 degrees.
