Anthony Gose Leads Off for Toledo

After spending the early part of the season with the Detroit Tigers, centerfielder Anthony Gose was sent to the AAA Toledo Mud Hens after Cameron Maybin returned from injury.  Wednesday Gose got the start in centerfield for the Mud Hens and batted in the leadoff spot.  Gose was 1-for-4 with a single, a walk, and 2 strikeouts in the 7-5 loss to Buffalo.

It seemed that initially the plan for centerfield on the big league roster was a platoon with Gose and Maybin.  Now, with Moya playing in left the outfield is pretty full in Detroit.

Another outfield prospect that who spent some time with the Tigers, Tyler Collins, is also playing in Toledo.  Collins was 2-for-4 Wednesday with a homerun and 2 RBI.
