This past Saturday the Concord track teams traveled to Pittsford for the Ralph Crume Invitational. All together there were 19 schools and hundreds of athletes competing in the rain, hail and wind. Some of the highlights for our Lady Yellowjackets were: Lily Vandenburgh ran her fastest time ever in the 200 Meter Dash. Luce Macchiavelle ran her fastest time ever in the 400 meter dash. Riley Adams joined them by setting a new personal record in both the 1600 Meter run and the 800 Meter run. Our meet highlight was Cieara Barrett as she not only ran her fastest time ever, she was competing for first place in the 800 Meter run and with about 50 meters to go she was able to move ahead of the other athletes and she earned the meet championship by less then a second. In the field events Grace Thorrez had an outstanding day with her best shot put distance and Lily Helms had her best discus toss ever. Overall it was a great day as we prepare for our next Big 8 Meet on Wednesday at Reading.
