U.S. Women’s Hockey Overcomes Finland To Win First Game Of 2018 Olympics

Powered by talented goalie Noora Raty and a Venla Hove goal with just 5.8 seconds remaining in the first period, Finland took an early lead to wake up the Americans before the U.S. stormed back for a 3-1 victory in its first game of the tournament. The win brings the U.S. into a tie with Canada (three points each) atop the Group A standings, with Finland and the Olympics Athletes from Russia at the bottom with one loss each. The U.S. is scheduled to play Russia on Tuesday.
