Tigers vs. Pirates Postponed, Rescheduled for Doubleheader April 25

The Tigers and Pirates game has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up tomorrow as part of a straight doubleheader.

Game 1 will feature a change at starting pitcher for Pittsburgh. Detroit’s Jordan Zimmerman will now face the Pirates Jameson Taillon in game 1, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:05pm, and in game 2, the Tigers will send Matt Boyd to the mound against Pittsburgh’s Chad Kuhl. Game 2 will begin 30 minutes after the final out of Game 1.

This is already the fifth time Detroit has been forced to reschedule a game, including two of three games against Pittsburgh to open the year. Four of the five games have already been made up. The fifth game, against the Yankees, is scheduled for a June 4th doubleheader.
