Ryan LaMarre Starts Slow But Finishes April Strong

It was a bit of a tough road to get going, but as the first full month of the regular season comes to a close, Ryan LaMarre is going strong for the first place Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

In his last 10 games, LaMarre is hitting .400 (14-for-35) with a home run, 6 RBI, and a stolen base. Starting the season hitting .222 through the first 8 games. In the following 11 games, LaMarre had 6 multi-hit games, including three 3-hit games.

His lone home run this year came April 24, a solo shot against Indianapolis.

His .348 season average is 12th best in the International League, behind such former big leaguers like Alcides Escobar and Adieny Hechavarria.
