Lysher Wins Lyle Ambs at Ella Sharp

Cody Lysher clinched his first Lyle Ambs Memorial Golf Tournament title with a 3 & 1 victory over Todd Marston in the championship flight final. After being two up at the turn, Lysher secured the win on the 17th hole at Sharp Park Golf Course.

Earlier, Marston edged out Zach DeFrain 1 up in the semifinals, while Lysher advanced automatically when Cannon Risner missed their tee time. Lysher credited his sister Caitlin, who caddied for him, for her invaluable support throughout the weekend.

Despite challenging conditions with wind and rain, Lysher triumphed, marking his fourth major win in Jackson County. He plans to compete in the Jackson Masters in August at Calderone Golf Club, where he’s had past success.

In other results, Will Double won the first flight with a 2 & 1 victory over Doug Bevan, after beating Tom Raymond 5 & 4 in the semis. Bevan had defeated John Gaston 7 & 5. Jim Coutu won the second flight, defeating Brian Strickrodt 4 & 3.
