Lumen Christi Names New Athletic Director

In a press release on Friday, Lumen Christi announced that Tray Crusciel will be taking over as the school’s new Athletic Director. Former AD Jerry Reis will continue on as Athletic Director Emeritus, supporting the Athletic Department.

Crusciel comes to Lumen Christi from Benton Harbor High School where he was the AD and Vice Principal. Prior to that, Crusciel revived the athletic department at Covert High School, just south of South Haven.

Tray said in the press release, “I’m truly excited to be here at Lumen Christi Catholic School. Lumen Christi has a tremendously rich history of excellence and success and to be able to lead this department at the helm is a blessing. Athletics is so very important to the overall educational experience and I’m very passionate about helping kids find growth and success through the avenue of sports and physical fitness. I look forward to working with the amazing coaches that Lumen Christi has to offer and serving our students, community, and this district as Athletic Director with nothing less than my very best.”

Lumen Christi Principal Stephanie Kristovic says, “I’m thrilled to have someone with Tray’s breadth and depth of experience join the Lumen Christi team. His energy, enthusiasm, development of character, attention to detail, and work ethic echoes our values and will work to continue to make our athletic programs exceptional growers of outstanding young men and women, as well as very successful programs.”

Crusciel joins an athletic program that features a Football team that is seeking to become the first school since Ithaca to win three straight state championships in Division 6, as well as a rich and diverse sporting history that includes more than 40 championships.
