After playing in Class B for this school year Lumen Christi will move down to Class C for the next school year. Jackson Northwest will also see a move down from Class A to Class B. The classifications are based on a 2nd semester count date for MHSAA which was on February 10th this year.
All in all the new classifications for the 2016-2017 school year saw 22 schools move up in class while 17 moved down.
