Lions Take RB and LB In First Round

The opening draft picks are in for the Lions they trade down and grab Alabama RB
Jamyr Gibbs at No.12 overall and then Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell six picks later.

GM Brad Holmes says they identified Gibbs very early in the process and was one of a handful of players they were looking to grab early. Holmes also said Campbell was the highest rated player on their board at 18 by a good margin. The athletic Hawkeye was the Big 10 Defensive MVP and Dick Buckus award winner for top linebacker
