The Lions had looked, after five games and several months of practice, as if they were making progress. Then, Sunday happened. Maybe that’s just how it goes when a team undergoes such a complete teardown, but that 34-11 loss to the Bengals was unacceptable on just about every level. Detroit caved early in the third quarter and never even threatened to mount a comeback.
