LaMarre Designated For Assignment By Twins

One week ago, former Lumen Christi and University of Michigan star Ryan LaMarre was a starting centerfielder for the Minnesota Twins. He was then optioned to Triple-A Rochester to make room on the roster for players coming off of the disabled list. On Monday, LaMarre was designated for assignment, meaning he has been removed from Minnesota’s 40-man roster. Other teams can claim or trade for his contract within the next 7 days, and he would be added to their 40-man roster.

This season, LaMarre has appeared in 43 games, 41 in the outfield, 1 and designated hitter, and one pitching appearance. At the plate, he is hitting .263 with 0 home runs, 8 RBI, and one stolen base.
