Michigan International Speedway officials are partnering with Firekeepers Casino, another Michigan based company, for a sponsorship of the June 12th race in 2016, dubbed the Firekeepers Casino 400.
This is not Firekeepers first investment with MIS, the casino sponsored Pole Day for both Sprint Cup Races in 2015.
MIS Presidents Roger Curtis said “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Firekeepers Casino and it’s increased involvement with NASCAR…” he went on to say that “The key to successful partnerships is finding organizations that have similar goals. Michigan International Speedway and Firekeepers Casino are committed to bringing tourists to this state…”
Each year about 385,000 peop[le visit MIS, generating an economic impact of more than $414 million. Nearly 60% of the guests on race weekends come from outside of Michigan.
