Both Women’s and Men’s hoops at Jackson College dropped one at home last night.
The Women had just their second loss on the season last night St. Clair County Community Collge 73-69. Their 18 game win streak was snapped at home. Top scorers for the Jets include 24 points from Nakiya Sigman, Kaycee Shannon with 14, Jada Patton and Tyra Ford with 10 each, and Morgan Morris with 7. The Women are now 20-2 on the season and 9-1 in conference play.
The Men also lost at home, 101-88 to St. Clair Community College. Top scorers for the Jets include 29 from akhwari Smith, Xavier Ford-Belton came off the bench with 15, Noah Gethings had 14 off the bench, Brent Wiles had 10, and Gave Damey with 9. The Men are 14-9 on the season 3-7 in conference play.
The Jets are on the road this weekend facing Henry Ford Community College. Tip time for the Women are 1pm, Men tip off at 3pm.
