Jackson College Jets Women’s and Men’s teams got great road wins last night at Grand Rapids Community College.
Heather Brown’s squad further solidified their hold on first place in the Women’s MCCAA West Division with a 60-55 win. Jada Patton was the top scorer with 16 points and 9 rebounds, Kaycee Shannon had 14 points and 6 assists, Morgan Morris had 10, Zarie Bridgewater with 7, and Keziah Buggs came off the bench with 9. The Women Jets are now 15-4 on the season and 12-1 in conference play. Next up is Muskegon Community College this Saturday at 1:00 PM. Muskegon is 16-4 on the season 10-3 in conference play.
The men’s team got a 79-74 win last night over GRCC. Akwari Smith was the top scorer for the jets with 24 points, Alex Daniels had 23 points and 6 assists, Brent Wiles had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Damaso Lebron had 8, Alex Smith had 7 points and 11 boards, and Colby Cathey came off the bench with 2 points. The Jets are 15-8 on the season and 8-5 in conference play. Next up is Muskegon Community College this Saturday. Muskegon is 13-6 on the season and 10-3 in conference play.
