Women’s Basketball
Jackson College 93, Oakland CC 58: The Jets improved to 18-3 on the season with the home win Wednesday. Kaylona Butler finished with 23 points, Zoie Bamm tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds, Jayla Edwards scored a dozen points, and Michelle McGee added 11 points and four steals for JC. The Jets are now 6-1 in the MCCAA and will travel to Wayne County CC Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip.
Men’s Basketball
Jackson College 106, Oakland CC 80: The Jets scored over the century mark for the first time this season and improved to 10-12 with the home victory. Six players scored in double digits led by Antonio King with 17 points and seven assists. Xavier Ford-Belton and Jay Wambere each scored 16 points, Kamerin Carter scored 15 points, Jo Coleman finished with 13 points, and Cooper Johnston added 10 points for JC. The Jets travel to Wayne County CC Saturday for a 3 p.m. game.
