Big 8

Bronson at Concord 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 16-25, 15-10

Mendon vs. Union City 25-16, 24-26, 15-12

Reading vs. Quincy 25-11, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21

Springport vs. Vermontville Maple Valley 25-17, 25-9, 25-12

The Lady Spartans truly had a hand full of aces to win the night! With scores of 25-18, 25-9, and 25-12, having 6 players scoring aces throughout the matches really shows the game they brought to the table. With Rylee Siefert and Macie Merrill having three aces each, Maddux Locke having 8 kills with Breanna Critteden following with 6 kills, and our setter Rylee Siefert having 24 assists, tonight was an achieving night for our Varsity Volleyball team!

Cascades Conference

Columbia Central vs. Vandercook Lake 25-17, 25-16, 25-10

Columbia Central Lady Eagles were back in action at home for a league matchup hosting the Jayhawks of Vandercook Lake!  The Eagles were not messing around with a clean sweep sending the Jayhawks back on the bus after 3 quick sets.  25-17, 25-16 & 25-10.

Everyone had a hand in this sweep with the whole team contributing in the stat category.  Leading the way was Berlynn Lyke controlling the offense with 21 Assists, 5 Aces, 6 kills & 9 digs.
Rylie Aylesworth was hot on the net with 8 kills, 4 blocks & 1 ace
Cecelia Slat stepped up with 7 kills & 1 ace
Logan Renfer led with 10 digs
Alison Richardson added 6 kills, 9 assists, 5 digs & went 13/15 from the serving line with 7 aces
Gianna Evans went 10/10 serving with 2 aces & 3 digs
Kenzie Duncan chipped in 9 digs, 2 assists and 1 ace
Blythe McClain added 4 kills
Allie Choate added 3 kills
Abbie Keller had 6 digs
The ladies improved their Cascade Conference league record to 2-1 & 4-4 overall.
The lady Eagles are back in action Thursday as we travel to Adrian Madison for a non league match.  JV starts at 5:00 & Varsity following around 6:30

Hanover-Horton vs. East Jackson 25-21, 25-17, 25-17

Hanover Horton defended their home court against East Jackson taking the win in 3 sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-17). Natalee Krage hit her 1000 career assist during the second set of the game. Krage led the team with 19 assists, 9 digs, 4 kills, 1 block, and she went 13 for 14 at the service line with 1 ace.  Lainey Griffis went 15 for 15 at the service line with 3 aces and had 7 assists.  Chelsea Russ contributed 13 kills for the Lady Comets.

Manchester @ Jonesville 25-14, 25-10, 20-25, 26-24

Michigan Center vs. Leslie 25-23, 25-15, 25-16

Addison @ Napoleon 28-26, 25-11, 25-16

Grass Lake vs. Homer 25-21, 17-25, 25-27, 26-24, 15-9

Your Lady Warriors hosted Homer for a five set battle in the heat. The team was able to fight through until the end claiming a win in five sets (25-21,17-25,25-27,26-24,15-9). Adrianna Kline led with 16 kills. Olivia Turner followed with 13. Turner also had 30 digs and served 22-for-24 with 13 points and 6 aces. Mia Buttigieg served 21-for-21 with 7 points and had 36 assists. Hanna Alvarez had 23 digs and Nadene Hubbard had 18. After playing 12 sets in two days the Warriors advance their record to 10-1-1. They travel to Jonesville Tuesday.

Western @ BC Pennfield 25-19, 25-10, 25-16

The varsity volleyball team traveled to Pennfield to take on the Panthers in the annual volleyball Panther bowl. After a slow start they were able to sweep Pennfield in three straight sets 25-19, 25-10, 25-16.

Western will travel to Mason on Saturday to compete in the Bulldog Invite.
