Soccer
Grass Lake 6 vs. Hillsdale 0
Grass Lake Boys soccer continued their winning ways with a 6-0 home win Thursday night vs Hillsdale. Starting defenders Sal Vitale and Zach Hoppe went down with injuries early in the match, but that didn’t stop Josh Postuma and the rest of his defense from recording their 4th shutout in 6 games.
The offense was fast and efficient for the Grass Lake attack, scoring 6 goals on just 13 shots. Senior Tyler Chizek opened up the scoring with a strong finish with a beautifully played pass from defender Ben Tippie. Zander Stormont and Max Goebel both notched two goals a piece and Senior Max Doyle added one to round out the scoring.
Boys soccer improves to 5-1 on the season and is back in action on Saturday for an invitational tournament in Onsted.
Volleyball
Columbia Central Varsity Volleyball traveled to Adrian Madison tonight & lost in 3 sets. Unfortunately the Trojans were a little too much for the Eagles to handle as we didn’t get warmed up until the 3rd set which was a little too late after already being down 2 sets. Scores were 13-25, 5-25 & 20-25
