Western

The Panthers traveled to Marywood GC in beautiful Battle Creek, Michigan to compete in the first I8 Jamboree of the season. The seven teams and forty two golfers were treated to sunny skies, rolling hills, a steady breeze out of the SW, and more rolling hills. The Panthers came out rather slow, falling to 4th place early in the match. Fortunately, through much grit and determination, the Panthers clawed their way back and finished in 2nd place trailing only the Mounties from NW. Eric Bonser led the way for the Panthers  finishing 2nd overall shooting a score of 77. Hayden Kim was one stroke back and finished in 3rd place with a 78, and freshman Andrew “Boom Boom” Boldt fired a PR of 79 securing a solid 5th place finish. The Panthers will travel to Marshall on Friday to compete in the Marshall Invitational, so take the day off of work and come out and support the team–Admission is free!
