Tennis

On Saturday, the Panther girls tennis team beat Haslett 6-2 and lost to Williamston 3-5.  All the girls played really well and fought hard for every point.  Top winners of the day, who won both their matches, are #3 doubles of Becca Brushaber and Anna Wilcox and #4 doubles of Salena Vo and Leslie Kinder.  Special thank you to our amazing and hard working parents who started showing up around 7 am to help dry the courts…it took over 4 hours to get the courts ready for play so they deserve a HUGE THANK YOU!  You are the best!  Next up for the Panthers is a match at Coldwater on Monday at 4:30 pm.  Way to go Panthers!

Golf

On Friday the Western Panthers traveled across town to participate in the EJ Invite at Sharp Park GC. Hayden Kim finished 5th overall shooting a solid 79; Eric Bonser followed close behind with an 80 good for 8th place. Riley Rogers shot an 86 for a 17th-place finish while Hikaru Matzen rounded out the top 4 posting an 87 good for 20th place.  Next the Panthers travel to Binder Park GC to take part in their second I8 Jamboree. of the season.
