Results recently in a variety of high school sports.

Golf

Thursday the Panthers traveled to Hankerd HIlls to compete in the 2nd I8 meet of the season. The Panthers started slow and never seemed to get on track. Conversely, Harper Creek came out on fire and held on to first place shooting a team score of 320. The Redhawks of Marshall finished 2nd with a score of 334. The Panthers finished 3rd with a score of 335 followed closely by NW with a score of 338. The Panthers were led by Hayden Kim who fired a 78 finishing 3rd overall, while teammate Eli Herrington tied a PR with a 79 good for 5th place. Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers were Andrew Boldt and Riley Rogers who both shot 89.
Next up is a Tuesday trip to Devil’s Lake GC.

Tennis

On Thursday, the #8 in the state Western Girls Varsity Tennis Team went to Marshall and secured an 8-0 win over their I-8 Conference and Regional foe.  The girls played great with most of them only losing either 1 or 0 games all match.  This improves the team record to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in the I-8 Conference.  Next up, the Panthers will host a quad with #9 Otsego, Stevensville Lakeshore and Williamston on Saturday beginning at 9:30 am.
