Western traveled to Harper Creek Thursday night to take on another I-8 Conference opponent.
The Panthers were dealing with some injuries, but that didn’t stop their momentum of late. Quentin Eva scored first off an assist from Roarke Watterson, then they switched rolls for the second goal. Just before halftime, Eva assisted Gavin Barrett for his goal which gave Western a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Western gave up a foul in the box, which Harper Creek scored the PK. Not to play panicked, Western bounced right back with great play from Christian Roza who had an assist to Luke Herrington to make the score 4-1. Less than five minutes later, Quentin Eva received a deflected ball just inside of midfield and found the back of the net from distance. The final score was 5-1 in Western’s favor.
The Panthers host Dewitt Saturday night in a highly anticipated game. Come out and support Western Soccer as they continue to play team soccer.
