March Madness will get started for area high school boys basketball teams on Monday, March 5th. Here is where Jackson area teams will be playing:
Jackson High is hosting their district tournament. The Vikings drew a first-round bye and will play on Wednesday (3/7)at 7:30 pm against the winner of the 1st round game between Lansing Everett and Okemos.
Class B District 40 will be played at Parma Western and the Panthers host Eaton Rapids in round 1 on Monday (3/5) at 6:00 pm. If the Panthers win their first round game the Northwest Mounties are waiting in round 2 on Wednesday (6/7) at 7:30 pm. The other two teams in the district are Leslie and Stockbridge who will play on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
Class B District 41 hosted by Jonesville gets started on Monday (3/5) with two games, Jonesville vs. Onsted at 5:30 pm and Hillsdale vs. Columbia Central at 7:00. The Jonesville/Onsted winner will face Michigan Center in the 2nd round and the Hillsdale/Columbia winner will face Adrian in round 2.
Springport opens their postseason at home against Pewamo-Westphalia.
3 Cascades Conference teams will appear in Class C District 70, Napoleon at Hudson, and Addison hosts Pittsford. Both games are set for 7:00 pm. Manchester drew a first-round bye and will host the winner of a game between Sand Creek and Clinton in round two on Wednesday (3/7).
Vandercook Lake will host East Jackson, Grass Lake hosts Concord, and Lumen Christi hosts Jackson Prep and Early College in Class C District 69 on Monday (3/5). The Grass Lake/Concord winner will face the Lumen/JPEC winner on Wednesday (3/7) at Vandercook Lake High School at 5:30 pm the Vandercook/EJ winner will face Hanover-Horton at 7:00.
Jackson Christian have a first round game on Monday (3/5) against North Adams-Jerome at Morenci High School at 6:00 pm.
