Springport were hosting the Concord Yellowjackets tonight. Both teams were 9-1 in the conference . Tonight’s match up was for first place in the Big 8. It was such a great game. The Spartans were able to hold off the red hot Yellow Jackets tonight. Basketball is a game of runs. They cut the deficit to 5 points in the fourth quarter. But the Lady Spartans were able to take the control back and win a very exciting game. Concord was lead by Hannah Stimer with 18 points.
Tonight was our Senior Night. These girls have been playing together for as long as they can remember . It was nice to see them play so hard tonight. Like every night. They played composed and focused. I’m so happy for them. Their leadership has made this such a phenomenal season for us.The crowd was great. The community coming out to support us was very special to us. Thank you Springport!
