Hailey Whisman threw a no hitter. She struck out 12 and walked just one batter. The Panthers scored in three innings. Leading the hitting attack was Abby Nieswender with four hits, Nicole Wilson had three, and Peyton Budd had two. Tessa White, Nicole Shellberg, and Alivia Hall each added a hits. Ashlyn Yeo ran the bases well stealing two.

Western 4, BC Harper Creek 0

Abby Nieswender hit a sac fly to score two runs. Nicole Wilson had two hits, Shaunicy Hendricks, Ashlyn Yeo, and Alivia Hall each had hits. Whisman earned the win striking out 12 and not walking a batter. The varsity softball team ended I8 conference play tonight with a 11-3 record. They tied with Marshall for 2nd place.

Coldwater 10, Lumen 0 gm1

Lumen Christi had 8 hits but couldn’t manage to push any of those base runners across the plate. Codi Ruge and Kadence Hinkley led the Titans with 2 hits a piece.

Lumen had only 1 hit as Coldwater clinched the I-8 league championship.

Troy Gilpin pitched a complete game, giving up only one run. Offensively, Jack LaPorte led the way with three hits, while Oliver, Braun, Trudell, Mannor, and Allen all had hits. It was a great team win.

BC Harper Creek 9, Western 1

In game two, the Panthers fell behind early, and could never recover. Luke Nally pitched game 1, while Alex Trudell came on to finish it off. Offensively, the Panthers struggled to get the bats going, but LaPorte, and McAninch, each had a hit. The Panthers are back in action Thursday vs Marshall.
