Despite seeing their 4-run lead whitte down toward the end, the resilient Warriors stood strong for a 7-6 win on Saturday. Senior Avin Sandoval batting leadoff went 4 for 4 leading a potent GL offense that racked up 16 hits in the game. In the three-hole, Luke Guthrie had 3 hits, and Jake Collins and Jack Reid each drove in 2 runs.

Sophomore Manny “Wild Thing” Schafran earned the big win against a gritty Northwest team allowing 4 hits and 3 runs over 4 innings striking out 5 and walking 2. Collin Knight worked hard through adversity and collected the save pitching 3 innings allowing 3 hits and 3 runs with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Game 1: Western 11 – Grayling 0
Western came out strong against Gaylord in game 1. Western threw a combined no hitter with Brody Parrott throwing  4 innings with 7 strikeouts and Leightner throwing 1 inning with 1 strikeout. At the plate, the Panthers totaled 9 hits, with hits coming from LaPorte, Trudell, Levy, Brody Parrott, Richardson, and VanRiper.
Game 2: Western 11 St Johns 12
Western came out strong against St Johns, but struggled to finish the game. Nick Allen threw 4 innings with 7 strikeouts, while Luke Nally threw 2 innings with 3 strikeouts At the plate, the Panthers totaled 13 hits, a season high. LaPorte, Spitzer, Trudell, Levy, Luke, Nally, Parrott, and VanRiper all had hits for the Panthers. The Panthers are back in action on Tuesday against Northwest.

Springport Dominates napoleon this year in the annual spring invite. Morgan Shoemaker earned the win with 8 strikeouts in the game. Spartans bats were on fire collecting 12 hits in the game, 3 triples by Brenna Crittenden, Rylee Siefert and Jordan Reed, and 1 double by Chloey Speer. 6 stolen bases and a final score of 13-1.

Springport gets the win in game two against Adrian Madison by score of 6-2. Devan Lowe earned the win with Morgan Shoemaker earning the save. Lowe had 2 strikeouts while Shoemaker had 8. The team collected 9 hits with doubles by Rylee Siefert and Ava Lovely and triples by Chloey Speer and Devan Lowe. Betz had 2 stolen bases while Speer had 3.

Game 1 Marshal Tournament
Lumen Christi’s 7th inning rally fell short in game one of the Marshall Tournament. Emily Rogers had 2 RBI and Bella Wrozek struck out 11 on the mound for the Titans.
Game 2
The Titan offense pounced in game two. Lily Ganton led the way with 3 hits and 4 RBI. Codi Ruge and Bella Wrozek each had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Bree Okoniewski got the shutout win on the mound recording 5 strikeouts while only walking 1.
