The girl’s varsity soccer team at Columbia Central hosted the Grass Lake Warriors on Wednesday evening in Cascades Conference action and came away with a solid 4-0 victory. Backed by another stellar defensive effort by Ava Penix, Peyton Huston, Emma Shafer and Ella Stiles in the backline the offensive prowess of sophomore Mara Henry was on full display as she notched all four goals for the hosting Golden Eagles. Assists to Henry were collected by Molly Sierer, Lydia Stewart and Sophia Rose.
Columbia improves to 8-1-1 overall on the season and 6-1-1 in the Cascades Conference.
