Cross Country

The Columbia Central cross country teams raced at the Cascades West Jamboree hosted by the Jonesville Comets. The Golden Eagles took advantage of cooler weather with many running personal records.
The boys team took to the Joneville course ready to race the competition. Running personal records for the day were Jack Gorton (3 second PR), Owen Lambarth (34 second PR!), Nate Ostrosky (18 second PR), and Clint Couchman in his first high school 5k race. Wyatt Vowell showed grit and determination running a season record after slipping and falling. The boys ended the day in third place just fifteen points behind a strong Jonesville team.
In the girls race, Gabby Gaydosh had another standout race, placing eighth overall and Melyssa McJennett pushed herself for a nineteenth place.
The Golden Eagles compete next at the Hudson Booster Invitational on Saturday, October 5th.
