A Jackson native is expected to make his NHL debut tonight as the Red Wings hos the Utah Hockey Club. Mazur, from Jackson, was called up from the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins to the Red Wings yesterday. After Mazur suffered an injury early in the hockey season that kept him out for more than three months, he returned to the Griffins in late January. He was called up after a 6 game point streak, scoring 4 goals and earning 3 assists during that frame. If Carter Mazur stays off the healthy scratch list, tonight will be the Jackson native’s first ever NHL game.
