On Wednesday, the #9 Panther Girls Tennis Team won their Regional tournament with a total of 28 out of a possible 32 points. This marks the 5th straight Regional Championship for Western and sends the team once again to the State Finals at the University of Michigan May 30-31. All 8 flights played in the championship matches. Flight champions were 1 singles Dru Porter, 4 singles Ellie McCollum, 1 doubles Becca Brushaber & Chehek Bharatiya and 3 doubles Anna Wilcox & Karly Foster. Finalists were 2 singles Ali Carmody, 3 singles Natalie Hyde, 2 doubles Kiiona Carmody & Sophia Nguyen and 4 doubles Anna Willinger & Silvia Baker. Next up for the Panthers is the I-8 Conference Tournament on Monday with doubles at Western and singles at Northwest beginning at 9:00 am. Let’s go Panthers!
