The Columbia Central Girl’s Varsity Soccer team traveled to Michigan Center and played to a scoreless draw with the Cardinals on Wednesday evening in Cascades Conference action.
Columbia controlled most of the play in the Cardinal half but couldn’t get a shot past goalkeeper Abbie Hess. “A strong defense keeps you from losing games.” Said Columbia Central head coach Andy Hosmer. “But you have to take advantage of scoring opportunities when you get them and we failed to do that tonight. We got great contributions from everyone who played but we just couldn’t get that final ball right and get the goal we needed.”
Columbia now sits at 11-2-2 over-all and 9-2-2 in the Cascades with just one conference game remaining.
