Grass Lake Varsity Warriors Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win Over Homer Trojans.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Leilah Smith (2026) doubled, scoring one run, Bree Salts (2025) homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Addalynn Hensen (2026) singled, scoring two runs.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Chloe Hollifield (2028) grounded out, and Kennedy Collins (2028) singled to center field, each scoring one run.

A single by Makenzie Hilberer (2027), and a ground out by Nadene Hubbard (2025) helped Grass Lake Varsity Warriors extend their early lead in the third.

Morgan “Mo” Conrad (2026) earned the win for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Julie Masternak took the loss for Homer Trojans Varsity. The starter went one inning, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking three. Hilberer (2027) threw two innings of no-run ball for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors in relief. The hurler gave up one hit, striking out two and walking one.

Smith (2026) and Salts (2025) were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors while hitting back-to-back. Hensen (2026), Smith (2026), Salts (2025), and Hilberer (2027) each drove in two runs for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors. Grass Lake Varsity Warriors had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Hensen (2026) and Emily Brown (2025) led the team with two walks each. Hensen (2026) stole three bases. Bree Salts (2025) drove in six runs on three hits to lead Grass Lake Varsity Warriors past Homer Trojans Varsity 22-4 on Wednesday. Salts (2025) hit a grand slam to left field in the fifth scoring four, doubled in the first scoring one, and hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth scoring one.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Salts (2025) doubled, scoring one run, Nadene Hubbard (2025) singled, scoring two runs, Addalynn Hensen (2026) drew a walk, scoring one run, Emily Brown (2025) doubled, scoring three runs, Leilah Smith (2026) singled, scoring one run, and Makenzie Hilberer (2027) singled, scoring one run.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors added two runs in the second after Hensen (2026) singled to center field following a 6-pitch at-bat.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Hilberer (2027) and Morgan “Mo” Conrad (2026).

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors added six more runs in the top of the fifth inning on four hits. An error scored one run, Smith (2026) drew a walk, scoring one run, and Salts (2025) hit a grand slam to left field.

Conrad (2026) earned the win for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors. The starter allowed five hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking none. Rihana Canfield took the loss for Homer Trojans Varsity. The starter went four innings, surrendering 16 runs (15 earned) on 12 hits, striking out one and walking six.

Grass Lake Varsity Warriors collected 16 hits in the game. Hensen (2026), Brown (2025), Conrad (2026), Kennedy Collins (2028), and Hilberer (2027) each collected multiple hits for Grass Lake Varsity Warriors. Brown (2025) led Grass Lake Varsity Warriors with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Brown (2025) stole two bases. Julie Masternak, Lani Miller, and Danica Robinson each drove in one run for Homer Trojans Varsity. Miller led Homer Trojans Varsity with two hits in two at bats.

The Titan offense led the charge in game one scoring 9 runs on 10 hits. Bree Okoniewski, Ollie Powers, Bella Wrozek, and Alison Furnas each had 2 hits, while Furnas also drove in 3 runs. Bella Wrozek gets the pitching win, striking out 10 batters.

Lumen Christi 4, Napoleon 2

Ollie Powers led Lumen Christi to victory in the night cap. She had 8 strikeouts on the mound to pick up the win and had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s at the plate. Lumen Christi travels to Adrian College for the Catholic League Championship Friday night at 6.
