The 2024 Columbia Central Girls Golf Team has officially claimed the record for the lowest 18-hole round in program history! The team accomplished this amazing feat yesterday at the Williamston Invitational, hosted by Wheatfield Valley Golf Course. The official record is now a 326 (+46)! The previous record was set by last year’s team with a combined score of 344 (+60) at Ella Sharp Golf Course. Leading the historic round was Logan Bentley, who finished second place individually with a round of 69 (-1). Kelsey Fausz had an excellent round, finishing in the top ten with an 80 (+10). Marrisa Berro was one stroke away from tying her career-low by one stroke, scoring an 89 (+19). Closing out the round was Ashley Yang, who accomplished a career-low for 18 holes, scoring an 88 (+18). Top to bottom, the girls did an amazing job representing their school and competing at an extremely high level of golf! We are all extremely proud of each one of them. However, believe it or not, we still have not fully maximized our potential. We will continue to improve and bring our best for the post-season.
