NJCAA.org Region 12 District Tournament: Jackson College advanced to the next round with a pair of one-run wins. The Jets won game one 8-7 and game two 3-2 at home Friday. Jackson scored two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to pull out game one. Marcus Patton and Gabe Jones each had two hits and two RBIs in the win. Jones knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Harry Major finished with three hits and Max Bowers hit a home run and drove in two runs. In game two, the Jets scored single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Jared Kramp hit a home run – one of his three hits – and Marcus Patton finished with two hits. Nathan Tappenden, Lucas Dawson, and Caleb Niese combined for 11 strikeouts in the contest. Jackson is now 30-19 on the season and will host Grand Rapids Community College Thursday for an 11 a.m. contest.

NJCAA.org Region 12 District Tournament: The Jets earned a 6-4 win over Lansing Community College but lost to Mid-Michigan 9-4 in the tournament at Marysville. The Jets scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning in game one on a home run by Sydney Schuler and a double by Elianna Noll. Karson Fairbanks also hit a home run for the Jets and knocked in two runs. Rayannah Burke earned the win for Jackson striking out three batters in seven innings pitched. The Jets could only muster six hits in the loss to Mid-Michigan Community College. Addison Bobbio and Schuler homered for Jackson in the contest. Jackson is 21-20 on the season following the loss.
