August 6th at Birchwood Farms Golf and Country Club in Emmet County Michigan Country Club of Jackson PGA pro Ron Beurmann topped 67 other pros from around the state to win his second Michigan Senior PGA Professional Championship. Beurmann shot an opening round 67 and finished the day at -5. His +1 73 on day 2 of the event was good enough to hold off Jim Deiters from Midland by 1 stroke and finish the tournament at -4.
Beurmann previously won the event in 2010. With this win Beurmann qualifies for the Senior PGA Professional National Championship scheduled for October 3-6 in Austin, TX.
