The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Olivet last night for a tri-match with Olivet and Potterville. The comets dropped both matches losing to Olivet in 3 close sets (15 – 25, 25-23, 7-15) and to Potterville (22-25, 16-25). Stat leaders for the night: Morgan Wood led the team with 10 kills followed by Jayda Rathbun with 6 and Carley Graves with 6. Payton Nichelson stepped up on the outside playing great defense and adding 5 kills. Haley Mach led the way with digs with 19, Olivia Tyler with 12 and Carley Graves with 13. Carley Graves had 22 assists and Olivia Tyler served 19 service points followed by Korra Estel with 16. The comets showed a ton of improvement defensively and on serve receive and are looking to improve offensively and to just put it all together as we head into next week’s away competitions.
