Weekend results in a variety of High School Sports.
Golf
Friday the Panthers traveled to Marshall, Michigan to compete in the Marshall Invitational. The Panthers started strong and held on shooting a team score of 320 good for a second place finish in the 16 team field. The Panthers were led by Eric Bonser and Hayden Kim who both fired a score of 78 good for a 5th place finish in the 86 player field. Andrew Boldt shot an 80 (13th overall) and Eli Herrington fired an 84(25th overall) to round out the team scoring. Top five teams were as follows:

Next up is a Monday trip to the Travis Pointe CC to compete in the Saline Invitational.
Tennis
On Saturday, the Western Girls Tennis Team played in the Chelsea quad. They came away with a 6-2 win over Williamston, a 5-3 win over Grosse Ille and a 1-7 loss to the #5 team in the state, Chelsea. This improves the team record to 9-3 for the season. Highlights for the day were all the doubles teams who each garnered at least 2 wins along with Natalie Hyde at 3 singles. The biggest highlight for Saturday was the 2 doubles team of Gabi Davis and Leslie Kinder ended the day undefeated with 3 wins. Up next for the Panthers is an I-8 Conference match at Pennfield on Monday at 4 pm. Let’s go Panthers!
