Kalamazoo Valley 7, Jackson College 3: The Jets could only muster five hits in the contest. Sydney Schuler finished with a pair of hits for Jackson College. The Jets are now 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.
Jackson College 8, Kalamazoo Valley 3: Brooke Owen had a monster game with four hits and three RBIs in the win for JC. Sydney Schuler finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Jets. JC pitcher Rayannah Burke earned the pitching win with six strikeouts in seven innings pitched. The Jets will travel to Lansing Community College Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Lansing 2, Jackson College 1: Lansing Community College scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the win. Ashley Sturgill finished with two hits for Jackson.
Jackson 9, Lansing CC 6: The Jets earned a split on the road Saturday as Addison Bobbio had three hits – including a home run – and knocked in three runs for Jackson. Brooke Owen, Sydney Schuler, and Rayannah Burke each finished with one hit and an RBI for Jackson. The Jets are now 11-10 overall, 7-6 in conference play. They will travel to Lake Michigan next Friday for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
Baseball
Macomb CC 8, Jackson College 7: The Jets scored five times in the sixth inning but could not score any more against Macomb Community College at home Saturday. Marcus Patton hit a home run and knocked in three runs and Henry Major finished with a pair of hits and two RBIs in the contest.
Jackson 8, Macomb 3: The Jets earned a split with an 8-3 home win over Macomb CC. Jared Kramp collected three hits and Gabe Jones had a pair of hits and three RBIs in the victory. Jackson is now 14-14 overall, 6-3 in Michigan Community College Athletic Association play. The Jets host St. Clair County Community College Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
