Bowling
Columbia vs. Michigan Center
The CCHS bowlers hosted Michigan Center Wednesday night at Jax 60. Both teams fought hard but couldn’t beat some late strikes by Michigan Center.
The boys lost 27-3. Ethan Senkewitz led all scorers with a 215 followed by Brendon Bernstein with a 204 and Christopher Holcomb with a 168. The boys are 9-7 on the season. And in 6th place in the Cascades Conference.
The girls lost a very close match 19-11. Kayleigh Molnar led the team with a 191 followed by Alexis Henry with a 178 and Amber Johnson with a 177. The girls are 10-5 and in 3rd place in the conference.
Grass Lake vs. East Jackson
The Golden Eagles host Homer Friday at Jax 60. Matches start at 3:30. The JV will bowl the JV singles tournament Sunday morning at 9:00am also at Jax 60.
1-26-24. The Warriors were up against East Jackson last Friday. Warrior lost 1st Baker 200 to 230, they come back and won the 2nd Baker 176 to 139, up 6 to 4 going into individual play. The Warriors took all 5 individual points in 1st game, it was Max Schafrans clean 228 game and Cayden DeWitts clean 216 game leading the way. The Warriors took all 5 individual points in the 2nd game, its was Brayden DeWitt shooting a big 233 game leading the way for the Warriors. C DeWitt finish with a 415 set and Schafran finished with a 411 set. Warriors won match 26 to 4 moving their record to 13 and 0.
JV1 bowled JV2.. It was Tyler Paul leading the way with games of 199 and 196 for a very good 395 set. Elijah Maitland shot games of 168 and 155 for a good 323 set, and Brandon Macomber shot a 166 game.

Grass Lake
The Varsity team from Grass Lake showed up in a big way at our final Cascades Conference Jamboree at Napoleon. It was Senior Night too! Celebrating our senior with a 7th place finish was exactly what the team needed. Working on some monster goals to finish out the season in the next month.
